Position Purpose:
Supervises high exposure claims as well as the the daily operation of vendor claim management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- 15% - Business Liaison - Serves as liaison to store on claim problems and allocation questions.
- 10% - Business Strategy - Promotes accurate claim reserving and recommends claim closure strategy. Serves as liaison to vendors, contractors and other third parties.
- 25% - Claims Management - Provides direction to claims adjusters relative to the most beneficial settlement alternatives and final disposition, as well as .investigative recommendations.
- 10% - Compliance - Ensures compliance with established claims management procedures and quality controls.
- 35% - Negotiations and Mediation - Handle strategic, high exposure cases to resolution through direct negotiations or mediation.
- 5% - Training - Quality Standards - Provides adjusting training on Home Depot Quality Standards.

- This position reports to the Manager, Claims
- This position has no direct reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
